Official WWII German Photograph: A General Presides Over the Award of a Knight’s Cross and Iron Crosses

Approximately 5 inches by 7 inches. The photograph is dated in July of 1943. There is a typed description on the reverse which bears the title “Nur fur den Dienstgebrauch!” (“For official use only!”). The photograph has two holes in the side edge. The photograph depicts a German Army General who wears the Knight’s Cross, the German Cross, and the Spanish Cross with Swords, as he watches an awards formation. An officer wearing a tropical M43 cap has just received the Knight’s Cross, while another officer fastens the award ribbon of an Iron Cross into the button hole of an enlisted man.
