WWI Military Police Prisoner of War Guard Detachment Trench Art Shell Casing

The brass shell casing is approximately 8-1/4 inches tall. The casing has designs which include a shield with “P.W.E. Co. 96 Toul”, referring to a U.S. Army Military Police unit responsible for guarding prisoners of war. The opposite side bears the designation of “A.E.F. World War 1914-18”. The shell casing has an uncleaned patina and it is dated 1915 on the base.
