Named WWII Japanese Navy Engineering Ensign Service Tunic

The wool tunic is in excellent condition, without holes, damage or repairs. The collar has the rank tabs of an Ensign with a purple base to reflect service in the engineering branch of the Navy. The sleeves also display the rank brain of an ensign. The interior collar has the label of the firm of “S. Moritaya” in the port city of Yokohama. Below this is the fabric tape with the name of the officer who owned the tunic: “Watanabe Hisashi”. The tunic makes a very fine appearance.
