WWII U.S. Army Signal Corps Tenth Army / Southwest Pacific Theater Forces Technical Sergeant’s Uniform with G.I. Laundry Marks

The uniform is comprised of the Ike jacket and trousers. The jacket has an interior contractor tag which is dated 1944 and marked as a size 38 Regular. The collar has “U.S.” and Signal Corps disks, with Technical Sergeant chevrons on each sleeve. The lower left sleeve has two overseas service chevrons. The upper left breast bears the ribbons for the Army Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the Pacific Campaign Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. The right shoulder has the patch of the Tenth Army and the left shoulder has the patch of the U.S. Army Forces in the Southwest Pacific Theater of Operations. On the upper right breast is the “Ruptured Duck” honorable discharge patch. On the lower right sleeve is the Meritorious Unit Commendation patch. The interior of the jacket has the laundry mark of “R-5005”, which also appears in the trousers along with a different laundry mark. The trousers have a button fly and an undated interior Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot label. Overall both the jacket and the trousers are without holes or damage and it is in very good condition.
