WWII First Army XIV Corps Ordnance Major’s Uniform

The uniform is comprised of the 1944 dated Ike jacket, size 36 Short, and the trousers. The jacket has the shoulder patches of the first Army and the XIV corps. The shoulders have the sewn on rank insignia of a Major. The ribbons reflect service from prior to Pearl Harbor through service in the Pacific Theater to post war service as indicated by the National Defense Medal. The lower left sleeve carries a single overseas service chevron. The collar has both “U.S.” and Ordnance Corps officer insignia. On the right breast pocket is sewn Meritorious Unit Commendation patch. The interior jacket pocket retains the manufacturer tag. The wool trousers have a button fly and the enlisted ranks laundry mark of “M-1129”. Both the jacket and the trousers are in very good condition.
