Named WWII Japanese Handkerchief with Patriotic Exhortations: “Death Defying Assault”

The linen handkerchief is approximately 13 inches by 13 inches. The handkerchief shows spots and stains but it is without holes or damage. The handkerchief bears the name of Matsuoka Kohan and the name of the Chikarajutomi Junior High School. The handkerchief has written declarations such as “Most Energetic Spirit”; “Attack Seven Times, Get Up Eight Times”; “Power, War, Fight”; and “Death Defying Assault”.
