Imperial Prussian Reserve Army Officer Visor Cap

The cap is constructed of Prussian blue wool with red wool piping and a red wool cap band. The body of the cap is quite clean, without holes or damage. The front peak displays an officer’s national colors cockade, while the cap band has the cockade of a reserve officer. The surface of the visor exhibits age crazing. The interior of the cap retains its leather sweatband, which has a small tear but which is otherwise intact. The sweatband is manufacturer marked. The lining is in place in the crown of the cap, with markings which appear to be the crossing out of a name. The lining and the sweatband show some soiling from wear, but overall the visor cap is in very good to excellent service used condition.
