The Model 1917 field telephone bears an identification plate with the date of March 2, 1918. The heavy telephone is approximately 10 inches tall by 9 inches wide by 5-1/4 inches deep. The wooden case shows scuffs and abrasions but it is complete and intact. The telephone system similarly appears complete, but it is unknown if the telephone is operational.
