The sterling silver bar measures approximately 2 7/8 inches wide. The reverse bears a long pin with a drop in safety catch. The “101 Burma Campaign” bars were created as awards to be presented as recognition for acts of valor to the native Burmese Kachin tribesmen who aided and who fought with Detachment 101 of the Office of Strategic Services in Burma. The reverse is marked “Sterling” and the bar has a dark, uncleaned patina and it is in excellent condition.
