Identified WWII G.I. Scrapbook with German Shoulder Straps

The scrapbook is approximately 10-1/2 inches by 12-3/4 inches by 2-3/4 inches thick. The scrapbook contains an envelope bearing the name of U.S. Army Technician 5th Class George Bluhm of the ETO Advance Sector Headquarters. The scrapbook contains cards and correspondence as well as commercially produced postcards of locations in England and France. One page has an envelope containing a large piece of stained glass with the envelope having the annotation of “Glass from Coventry Cathedral England”. Another page has Luftwaffe enlisted insignia comprised of an enlisted ranks breast eagle; a pair of enlisted slip on shoulder straps, piped in brown for use by signals troops; and a pair of enlisted slip on shoulder straps, piped in white for use by personnel of the Hermann Goring Division. Also present in the album are copies of “Yank” magazine as well as a single page Paris newspaper in German and dated in January of 1944.
