Cased and Identified WWII Japanese Killed in Action Bereavement Medal with Award Document

The bereavement badge is is contained within its titled wooden case together with the award document bearing serial number 678, and which reflects that the badge was presented as a result of the death in action of Corporal Iyoshi Okemoto, who was killed in China in 1938, with the document bearing the date of September 20 of Showa 13, or 1938. The badge and the document were presented to Koukichi Okemoto, Corporal Okemoto’s son. The badge, the case, and the document re all in excellent condition, with the document showing fold lines from placement in the case.
