Boxed WWII Japanese Naval Infantry Commemorative Plate

The plate is metal and ceramic construction and it is approximately 6-1/2 inches by 8 inches. The metal finish shows some spots and scratches. The plate is in the shape of a Japanese helmet which bears the Imperial Navy insignia of a fouled anchor and cherry blossom, together with a rising sun flag and a life preserver. The bottom of the plate has an incised design which includes a battleship, a monoplane aircraft, and Japanese kanji. The plate is wrapped in paper and it is contained within its original wooden box. Overall very good condition.
