The blue wool body of the cap shows surface dust but it is without holes or damage. The surface of the visor exhibits age crazing and some puckering of the leather. The chin strap is retained by New Jersey National Guard buttons, with the interior having the “N.G. N.J.U.S.” stencil. The full leather interior sweatband is present. The crossed rifles insignia is missing its regimental number. Overall very good condition.
