Named Woman’s WWII Coast Guard SPARS Uniform Group

The uniform group is comprised of the uniform jacket, skirt, waist belt, blouse, neckerchief, officer cap, shoulder bag, change purse, and overseas cap of Lieutenant (j.g.) Ethel A. Gary of the United States Coast Guard Women’s Reserve (“SPARS”) from World War II. The uniform and the blouse show some spots, and the blouse is missing the top button,  but the uniform is without holes, damage or repairs. The shoulder bag exhibits some scuffs but it is complete and intact. Most all of the articles contain Lieutenant Gary’s cloth name tag or her initials. Overall the set is in excellent used condition.
