Named Kriegsmarine Oberbootsmannmaat Dress Uniform with Jacket, Vest and Trousers

The complete Kriegsmarine dress uniform is comprised of the names and tailor made wool jacket, vest, and trousers. The jacket has a set of loops for a badge, while the left sleeve carries the rank insignia of an Oberbootsmannmaat (the U.S. Navy equivalent of a Petty Officer, Second Class) and, below the rank insignia, are the Kriegsmarine specialty insignia of a Coast Artillery Gun chief; an Underwater Listening and Detection Specialist; and a Blockade Weapons Foreman, all high quality hand embroidered. The interior of the jacket has a worn tailor’s label inside of the collar, with a named tailor’s label within the interior pocket. The trousers appear to have a manufacturer stamp as well as a cloth name tag (the name on the cloth tag appears to be different from the handwritten name on the jacket’s interior pocket label. The uniform is in exceptional condition in its entirety, without holes, damage, or repairs, and it makes a very impressive appearance.
