1944 Dated First Pattern British Paratrooper Denison Smock

The camouflage smock is the 1942 first pattern British paratrooper smock, this example being dated 1944. The unlined heavy cotton pullover smock shows field wear and a few spots, but it is without holes, damage, or repairs. The front “Ritz” zipper is fully functional. One “male” snap is missing from the lower left front hem, which was one of three snaps on the lower area of the smock to modify the fit by using the side adjustment strap, but otherwise all other snaps and buttons remain present on the smock. The right sleeve displays the cloth badge of a British paratrooper, embroidered on wool. The full cloth manufacturer label is present in the interior neck, broad arrow marked and dated 1944. Overall the smock is in excellent field used condition.
