The helmet displays a uniformly dark exterior, with typical scuffs, scratches, and some surface rust. The interior side is marked “AW 64”, reflecting a size 64 helmet shell that was manufactured by the firm of A. Westen Cilli in Celie, Slovenia. The fabric chin strap is present and intact, with the metal components of the chin strap showing rust. The leather liner pads are replacements, and the liner band bolt at the rear of the helmet is also a replacement.
