Named German Model 1938 Gas Mask with Canister, Gas Cape Bag, and Cleaning Cloth and Decontamination Tablet Container

The gas mask exhibits some typical stiffening of the face mask, but it is complete and intact, with all attachment straps. The tinted lenses are without damage. The gas mask cleaning cloth is at the interior base of the canister. The decontamination tablet container is found tucked inside of the face mask, and removal of the cap appears to reveal the tablet having degraded to a powder. The bag for the gas cape is affixed to the canister carrying strap, with the bag having lost one of the two closure buttons for the cover flap. There are spare lenses inside of the interior lid compartment, with that same compartment containing two slips of paper with the owner’s name and unit, and with that same name also being painted on the lid of the lens compartment. Overall the set is in very good field used condition.
