First Model Luftwaffe Officer Dagger by E & F Horster

The blade shows spots, primarily on the ricasso, as well as surface grime, but overall the blade appears bright and it would likely respond well to a careful cleaning. The grip is covered in fine blue leather which shows minor scuffs but which is intact and which remains tightly triple wrapped with silver wire. The pommel, guard, chain hanger and scabbard fittings are of the aluminum variety and they are quite bright, with the wheel swastikas on the pommel and the guard retaining their gilt finish. The chain clip is maker marked by the firm of Overhoff & Cie. The blue leather covering on the scabbard shows a few minor scuffs on the reverse side. Overall the dagger is in excellent condition.
