Third Reich Fire Service Dress Axe

The nickel plating on the axe head and on the grip base is generally bright, showing some spots. The fixtures on either side of the grip which are below the axe head both show speckling and loss of plating. The two dedication plaques on either side of the grip similarly show loss or plating and corrosion, as do the carrying rings on each side of the grip neck. The cap on the top of the grip is dark and reflects a loss of some of the plated surface. Approximately 17-1/2 inches in overall length.
