Model 1899 Imperial Prussian Officer Sword by Carl Eickhorn

The sword has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 38 inches, with a blade length of approximately 32 inches. The plated blade is very bright, while showing some spots and some barely perceptible nicks to the cutting edge. The ricasso is marked on one side with the early back-to-back squirrel trade mark of the Carl Eickhorn firm. The grip covering is without damage, and it is triple wrapped in brass wire that is somewhat loose in spots but which is intact. The sword has a folding guard with Prussian eagle, with the guard, knuckle bow, and the pommel exhibiting a dark finish that is largely intact. The scabbard shows scattered chips to the black paint.
