WWII Kriegsmarine Stopwatch by Leonidas

The stopwatch is approximately 1-3/4 inches in diameter, exclusive of the stem and suspension ring. The face is manufacturer marked by Leonidas. The rear of the nickel case bears the designation of “RLM” for “Reichs Luftfahrt Ministerium”, indicating that the stopwatch was originally issued by the Luftwaffe. A horizontal line was then carefully engraved through the “RLM” engraving, and above this was placed the Kriegsmarine eagle and swastika with “M” mark, indicating that the stopwatch was reissued to the Kriegsmarine from the Air force. The face of the watch shows typical age toning, but the crystal is intact. The stopwatch is  presently functioning
