The canvas bucket has a height of approximately 10-1/2 inches, with a base diameter of approximately 12 inches. The bucket shows soiling and stains consistent with use in the field. The side bears the “U.S.” military stencil, while the base markings reflect that the bucket was produced for the United States Forest Service with an indistinct date that appears to pre-date the war, reflecting the fact that early in the war there was a variety of equipment that was re-purposed from civilian use to military use.
