The blade shows some wear to the finish and sharpening at the tip, blade is caked with dried oil and grease. The ricasso bears a serial number and, on the opposite side, the maker mark of Utica Cutlery and the Army Ordnance Corps mark. The ribbed black plastic grip plates are without chips or cracks. The guard and the pommel exhibit some wear to the finish as well as surface rust on the pommel. The scabbard was painted at some point in the past, with the scabbard throat having been painted. There are some chips to the olive green paint, and beneath a chip on the throat can be seen a part of the Ordnance Corps mark.
