WWII German Anti-Jewish Poster in Russian

$450.00

The poster was evidently created by the German occupation forces in Russia or Ukraine. Approximately 22-1/2 inches by 33-3/4 inches. In the lower corner the poster bears a printing month of “Januar”, which is the German month of January. The poster appears to depict the members of a Russian, or perhaps Ukrainian, family who are being victimized by two individuals, one being a Jewish caricature who is apparently a currency speculator, and the other being a leering officer of the NKVD, the Soviet secret police. The poster is in the Russian or Ukrainian language, and the poster seems to claim that the Jewish speculator who is victimizing the family is in fact a puppet of the Soviet NKVD. The poster shows age and faint fold lines, with a tear approximately 7 inches long from the side edge, with the tear having been closed some time ago on the reverse with cloth archival tape. Overall the poster makes a very good appearance.
