The half liter pottery stein is approximately 5-1/2 inches tall, exclusive of the thumb lift. The stein is dated at Christmas in 1933. The lid bears a relief design of a Model 1916 combat helmet with an Army eagle and swastika insignia. The base has a retailer stamp and a handwritten notation in Sutterlin script German. There is a very subtle repair to the pewter strap, but the stein is in near mint condition, without chips or cracks.
