Leather Framed Photo of Army Air Corps Mechanic
$34.00
Black and white framed photograph of a World War II Army Air force mechanic at work on the engine of a Vultee BT-13 Valiant trainer aircraft. He wears the leather and shearling B-6 flight jacket that was extremely popular with mechanics and Army Air Force ground crew personnel, since it was warmer than the A-2 jacket but allowed for greater ease of movement than the heavier B-3 shearling jacket. The photo is 3 inches by 4 inches and it is contained within a metal frame with green and gold paper covering with a “Lowry Field” decoration. The overall size of the frame is 5 3/4 inches by 5 inches. The frame has a built-in base that allows the photograph to stand freely. Excellent condition.
