WWII SD Sicherheitsdienst SS Security Service Sturmann Tunic

The tunic is constructed of a ribbed, field gray, cotton. The tunic is unlined. The shoulders have slip on shoulder boards for an SD Sturmann. On the left sleeve is the SS enlisted ranks wool sleeve eagle above a wool rank chevron for an SS-SD Strumann. Below the chevron is the enlisted ranks SD sleeve diamond, and beneath that diamond, towards the top edge of the turn back cuff, is a blank SS cuff title, as worn by the personnel of the SD. The cuff title is the classic “waffle” weave pattern with 7 aluminum strands at the top and bottom edges of the cuff title. The left collar of the tunic bears the rank tab of an SS-SD Sturmann, while the right side collar tab is blank, as worn by personnel of the SD.  The collar tabs, sleeve eagle, rank chevron, SD diamond, and cuff title are all finely hand sewn to the tunic. On the left slide of the tunic are a set of three loops above the upper pocket for the wear of a ribbon bar, while on the lower left side are two sets of loops for badges or decorations. The pebbled buttons are marked “Extra Fein” on the reverse. The tunic shows some light spots and signs of wear, and there is a hole in the tunic beneath the flap of the lower left pocket, but overall the tunic makes an excellent appearance.
