Three Documents Signed by Waffen SS Oberfuhrer and Knight’s Cross Recipient Adolf Ax
$375.00
The three documents consist of an SS form titled “Vorbedingungen”, double sided, approximately 8-1/8 inches by 11-1/2 inches; a handwritten document, double sided, approximately 8-1/2 inches by 11 inches; and an SS form titled “Fragebogen”. All three documents show age toning and edge tears. All three documents are signed by Ax, who served as commander of the 32nd SS-Freiwilligen-Grenadier-Division “30. Januar” and who was recommended for the Knight’s Cross in April of 1945, with that recommendation being sent to the Army Staff Office on April 25, 1945. With the end of the war only days away, no official action was thereafter apparently formalized, but the Order Commission of the Association of Knight’s Cross Recipients (AKCR) processed the recommendation in 1981 and decided that the Knight’s Cross was awarded affective 9 May 1945.
