Waffen SS Officer’s M43 Field Cap

The M43 field cap is constructed from field gray Italian wool-tricot blend material with a whipcord weave. The crown of the cap is piped in white. The front displays a machine woven Waffen SS trapezoid insignia, introduced in1944, which is machine sewn to the front of the cap in a manner does not pierce the lining. The interior is fully lined in a field gray rayon. The interior bears a size stamp of “58”. The exterior is without stains or holes, and the interior shows only light wear, with some minimal perspiration staining of the lining. The cap is quite clean and it is in overall excellent condition.
