Approximately 20-7/8 inches by 29-1/2 inches. The horizontal format poster was mounted on linen. The poster was printed on a newsprint grade of paper and as such shows age toning and small holes but overall it is in very good condition. The poster explains graphically how a person’s savings go into the national war savings, and how the funds are partitioned. Following the title of “Make the best of your workplace sweat” are the designations of the Ministry of the Treasury; the Welfare Ministry; the Savings Bureau; the Greater Japan Industry Patriotic Association; and Central Headquarters Guidance; and the King [publishing company] Editorial [Office]. The the oblong ovals are specified: Government bond purchases; Bond purchases;
Postal savings; Bank deposits; Insurance payments; Corporate bonds; Unused incorporated stock payments and Wartime savings. Within the red circles are specified: War expenses;
Defense Sustainability; Homefront sundry expenses; Productivity Expansion; and Railway communications, construction work, etc.
