WWII 11th Airborne Division 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment Staff Sergeant Ike Jacket Size 36 Regular
$575.00
The Ike jacket is very clean, without stains, holes, or repairs. The collar has disks for the infantry branch and “U.S. 511” unit disk for the 511th Parachute Infantry Regiment. Both sleeves have chevrons for a Staff Sergeant, while the left shoulder bears the two piece patch of the 11th Airborne Division. Above the left breast pocket is an airborne wing oval backer, and on the backer is a pin back, sterling silver, paratrooper wing. The chevrons, shoulder patch, and the oval backer are all nicely cross stitched to the uniform. On the front waist closure flap is stitched the number “159” in Japanese, likely a laundry mark for this Sergeant. The interior pocket retains the Quartermaster Depot tag, which is dated in December of 1944 and which has a stated size of 36 Regular. The cloth waist adjustment straps are lacking their buckles. Overall the jacket is in excellent condition.
