The archive consists of materials relating to the full service of the USS Fisher, an Anchorage-class dock landing ship in service with the United States Navy from 1972 to 1998. The archive includes the program for the ship’s commissioning; multiple “Welcome Aboard” pamphlets; several programs for various “Change of Command” ceremonies, as well as well as an invitation to one of the ceremonies; multiple large photographs of the ship, in black and white and in color, each approximately 8 inches by 10 inches; news clippings about the ship; and letters from the U.S. Navy and the USS Fisher forwarding some of the materials in the archive. All of the items are in very good condition.
