The book is soft cover, 196 pages, approximately 5 by 7 1/2 inches. The top of the cover has a missing piece. The reverse side of the title page bears a long dedication to “My dear friend and riding comrade” and it is signed “Goring”. Opposite to the signed inscription is a page with a photograph of Goring in uniform and on horseback. The book shows spots and wear.
