Imperial German Uhlan Regiment EM/NCO Visor Cap

The cap is constructed with a dark blue top and yellow cap band, both with yellow piping. The front of the cap carries enlisted or NCO style cockades in the national and Prussian colors (with the white sections of the cockades having toned with age to a brown color). The color combinations of this cap cap were worn by three different Imperial German Uhlan regiments: the 3rd Guards Uhlans of Potsdam; the 11th (2nd Brandenburg) Uhlan Regiment “Count Haeseler”; and the 15th (Schleswig-Holstein) Uhlan Regiment. The cap shows some exterior soiling but it is without stains or holes. The interior lining shows wear, with perspiration staining and stitch holes where there was once a sweat shield. The wide interior leather sweatband remains present. The cap is in overall very good condition.
