The cap is tailored of a dark green (dunkelgrun) wool top with a deep pink (pompadour rot) cap band., with the cap being piped in yellow. The cap is without stains or holes, although there is a 1/2 inch piece of the piping missing on the top edge of the left side of the cap. The front of the cap displays the officer versions of the Prussian and national colors cockades. The surface of the leather visor exhibits typical age crazing. The interior of the cap has signs of wear, with an intact leather sweatband. Overall the cap is in very good condition.
