Imperial German 15th (Schleswig-Holstein) Uhlan Regiment Oberleutnant Ulanka Tunic
$3,500.00
The Ulanka tunic is tailored in a fine quality field gray gabardine twill wool. The tunic has spots and some scattered tiny holes which are barely perceptible. The upper center of the tunic front has a line of three horizontal loops for wear of a ribbon bar or a medal bar. The interior of the tunicĀ demonstrates that this garment was indeed worn for some time by an Uhlan officer, for it shows stains from wear and several repairs of the lining. The “Litewka” style tunic was one of the most well known ad recognizable uniforms of the First World War, since it was the style worn by Manfred Von Richthofen in the many portrait photographs that were taken of “The Red Baron”. Overall the tunic makes a very good appearance.
