The four pocket tunic has an interior Philadelphia Quartermaster Depot tag which is dated 1942 and which has a stated size of 37 Short (a size that is thoroughly consistent with wear by a Filipino or Filipino-American). The collar has “U.S.” and infantry disks. On the let shoulder is the fully embroidered insignia of the 1st Filipino Infantry Regiment. On the right shoulder is the insignia of special operations unit 5217th Reconnaissance Battalion (Provisional), which is embroidered on wool.On the left breast is a Combat Infantry Badge above individual ribbons for the World War II Victory Medal; the US. Army Good Conduct Medal; the Pacific Campaign Medal with two campaign stars; and the Philippine Liberation Medal. Pinned below the ribbons is an unnamed slot brooch Army Good Conduct Medal. On the right breast in the Presidential Unit Citation ribbon with two oak leaf clusters and, above this, is the machine woven Honorable discharge patch. The tunic has a few small scattered holes but overall it makes a very good appearance and it shows only relatively light wear.
