WWII U.S. Navy Commander’s Visor Cap
A nice World War II period example of a U.S. Navy officer’s visor cap by Hilborn-Hamburger for the rank of Commander or above. The cap has a navy blue wool top with officer cap insignia and gold bullion oak leaf embroidery to the visor. The interior has basket weave construction, is marked as a size 7 1/8, and is identified as “The Viking” model of H-H. The cap has one small hole on the peak edge above the front insignia and is overall in very good condition.
