WWII U.S. Army Medic and WAC Portrait Photographs in Three Dimensional Wood

$95.00

The portrait photographs are each approximately 10 inches wide by 12-1/4 inches tall. The photographs are rendered on a wood base that was then carved to create a three dimensional effect, both within an art deco style frame. The details of the uniforms, such as the overseas caps, the neckties, the collars and collar insignia, the folds of the uniforms, and other aspects of the photographs, are presented in relief. The details are such that it can be seen that the G.I wears on his left shoulder the red diamond patch of the 5th Infantry Division, with collar disks of the medical branch clearly visible on the lapels. The photographs show minor signs of age but overall they are in very good condition.
