WWII Rear Seam Swivel Bale US Navy Medic Helmet

The exterior, cork infused, dark grey paint is approximately 60% intact, with a film of surface rust over much of the helmet. The top front exterior of the helmet has a shallow linear indentation that is approximately 1 inch long, with the helmet overall displaying a condition characteristic of wear in the field. The front of the helmet displays a hand painted red cross with white border. The interior of the helmet shows wear and some rust in the dome.  The liner is a high pressure example with the interior mark of an “S” within an oval, indicating that the liner was manufactured by the Seaman Paper Company.
