A large format album comprised of photographs taken in the Pacific Theater of Operations. The album itself is 11 1/2 by 15 1/2 inches in size. It contains approximately 204 photographs. Most of the photographs were personally taken by the soldier, sailor, or marine who had the camera. The photos depict crashed and damaged aircraft as well as undamaged P-51 and B-24 aircraft. Several photos show aircraft nose art. There are a number of photos of the native population. Photographs show groups of sailors and soldiers on board a ship and in landing craft, including photos of a church service being held on the deck of a ship. The album also contains a number of commercially produced images, including several of a more gruesome nature which depict Japanese dead. A few pages in the album have come loose, along with a number of individual photographs a few of which are missing.
