WWII Nazi Party NPEA Political Leader M43 Cap
The Nazi Party established National Political Institutes of Education (“Nationalpolitische Erziehungsanstalten”) referred to as the NPEA. These institutes were intended to train the future political and military leaders of the Third Reich.
This M43 cap was worn by Nazi Party leaders serving at an NPEA institute (commonly referred to as “NAPOLA”).
The cap is constructed of a fine quality medium brown wool tricot and the crown of the cap is trimmed with golden yellow piping. A gilt political eagle is mounted on the front peak. There are two fold-down side panels that are joined in the front by two buttons. The interior is lined with a brown cloth lining and a wide leather sweatband. Beneath the sweatband in front is a dried cork panel that padded the front of the cap. A cloth RZM label is located beneath the sweatband. The interior is stamped with the size of 54. The cap shows only the most minimal wear or use. Excellent condition.
