WWII Named Type E-1 Army Air Force Bombardier Case
Olive green canvas bombardier’s bag with leather trim and handles, approximately 20 inches by 16 inches by 10 inches in size. The bag is stenciled with the name of its owner, Lieutenant Robert O. Haas, with is service number. The bag is empty of contents. All zippers and snaps are present and working. Inside of the bag was a white cotton “ditty” type bag which bears a British Royal Air Force “Broad Arrow” stamp and the name of “LAC [“Leading Aircraftman”] Pitson” along with the designations of Iraq and India. The bag is approximately 18 inches wide by 12 inches deep, and was presumably something that Lieutenant Haas acquired during his travels in the Army Air Force. Overall very good condition.
