WWII K98 Dress Bayonet by Alexander Coppel with Frog

The blade is generally bright, with a film of surface grime that would likely respond very well to a careful cleaning. The bayonet blade has a small chip on one side at the point. The ricasso is maker marked “ACS” for the firm of Alexander Coppel . The leather washer is in place at the top of the ricasso. The black Bakelite grip plates are without chips or cracks. The guard and the pommel uncleaned patina and verdigris, with some speckling to the plating on the pommel. The red wool insert is in place in the rifle slot. The black leather frog is in very good condition, showing some minor scuffs from use and age. The scabbard has chips to the paint but the paint is generally complete.
