WWII Japanese Boy’s Patriotic Quilted Kimono
The printed, padded kimono was intended for wear by a Japanese boy in cold weather. The kimono has two images repeating in its pattern. One of these images depicts a Japanese warship and a biplane, while the other depicts three children (two of whom wear military dress) and a biplane. That image has Japanese kanji which reads “Future Heroes”. The kimono has some spots and small holes but nothing that is particularly distracting, and the colors remain bright and vibrant. The integral sash tie remains attached to the kimono. Overall very good condition.
