The bronze version of the badge, as awarded to Japanese Army Non Commissioned Officers who qualified as pilots. The original rather frail “C” catch obviously broke during wear and the badge was period repaired with a much sturdier wide brass “C” catch. The badge has excellent detail and a fine, uncleaned, patina.
