WWII Japanese Army EM/NCO Green Wool Field Cap

Olive green wool field cap with the Japanese Army star on the front. Interestingly, the leather chin strap is secured on the side with small leather disks instead of the usual metal buttons, likely a combination of a wartime economy measure together with the elimination of reflective surfaces on the cap for combat conditions. The cap retains its full rubber sweatband and shows only minimal wear or use.
