WWII German Luftwaffe Boot Knife

The knife has an overall length in the scabbard of approximately 11-1/4 inches. The blade shows spots, scratches, and typical signs of age and use. The ricasso of the blade has a stylized eagle acceptance mark with the number “5”. The top edge of one of the grip plates shows an old small chip, but otherwise the grip plates are intact. The scabbard, with integral boot clip, retains approximately 40 percent of its exterior black paint finish. Overall the knife is in good field used condition.
