WWII European Theater Advance Sector Staff Sergeant Engineer Uniform Size 42R
The Ike jacket is a size 42 Regular and is very clean, without stains or holes. The collar carries screw back “U.S.” and Corps of Engineers discs. Each sleeve has the rank chevron of a Staff Sergeant. Above the pocket is a pin back, plastic covered two place ribbon bar with ribbons for the Army Good Conduct Medal and the European Theater Medal. On the lower left sleeve are four overseas service stripes and a single enlistment stripe. On the left shoulder is the British-made patch of the Advance European Theater Sector. The interior pocket retains the Quartermaster tag which is dated in June of 1944, and the interior collar lining is marked with laundry number “G 2967”. The trousers have a few light spots and barely perceptible holes. They are marked as a size 36 x 33, and within a rear pocket was foud the Sergeant’s original World War II issue olive drab cotton handkerchief. Overall the uniform is in excellent condition.
